if suddenly you become a leader in a small island with a population of 20 people. your responsibility is to make all those 20 people work, you need to secure the food, water, security.and future.. how will you do so to make each individual employed and satisfied? how are you going to organize it so each one benefit from the other? and how about those who are breaking the rules?You become a leader on an Island of a population of 20 people. what will you do?
Establish tasks that need to be completed, food, shelter, healthcare, hygiene

Appoint leaders by vote to have responsibilities for each of the above areas

Create a governing body composed of the leaders

Issue a form of currency

Work for and save currency

Start a bank

Lend money to the leaders with high interest rates

Encourage the leaders to get into debt

Control the leaders

Rule the Island

the 1st thing I'll do is to state a law that allows elections only with every solar eclipse :D :D

I think I'll have to study the place 1st for it's available resources, the environmental factors with us %26amp; against us, the people themselves (I mean surely not all the 20 persons are capable of working)...idk...that's a lot of things that should be taken into consideration %26amp; not only the presidential part!!
These will be the rules.

1. Establish a meeting point. If we split, people should regroup at this point at sunset (maghrib)

2. No one is allowed to split and wonder about alone. people can only split in groups of four. This is for safety reasons.

3. People will be encouraged to choose and marry the partner they want as soon as possible. We have to populate the island.

4. Imagination is encourged to build shelters and start fires and hunt animals.

5. Until we can make fire on demand, the only allowed foods are plants and fresh/live seafood, to reduce risk of disease.

6. If someone needs to go to the bathroom, this has to be done at least 1 kilometer from the shore, and has to be near plants, to act as fertilisers.

7. No one owns anything except their own shelter, we share food and all other stuff There will be seperate shelters for each couple, but all shelters will be close.

8. Try to record general knowledge of people (in medicine and Engineering and nature and religion and etc...) to be used for future reference.

9. Search for new materials so we can make knives, and bows and other tools.

10. The leader has a lot of power, but not absolute power over the people.
Make them set some objectives to achieve the goals you said; this is called (management by objectives), so as they set their own objectives, they will be motivated to work. My role is to answer their Q, direct them always to the vision that we want the good for our community.....

Remember you said that you became the leader; which is far away from being the commander; so the rules are not yours. You must let them set their own rules too. And the whole 20 person should share in choosing the appropriate punishment for who break the rules; unless if they delegated you to judge....
Make it A monarchy!! Lets bring back that concept
form a sort of communist community. aks them what they have skills as prior to coming here, and assign them a job. everyone gets the same ammount of food water, and once it becomes big enough, create a form of money
men for hunting and security

ladies for cooking and gathering fruits and vegetable

any one break a rule should be neglected and no body even talk to him tell apologize
it's gonna start as always with a speech and cheers,big plans then get spoiled by power and temptaions and will end with me being a tyrant,dictator with all the wealth in few hands leaving the rest of my people hungry and unsatisfied
train them in the ways of war and take over a bigger island.... and do it over and over again until the entire world is mine.
