of Obama's presidency? With the country in recession and our economy in shamble, people out of work, people losing their homes and no money to find food, where is our priority here? Wouldn't it not be prudent if they scale down the partying and save taxpayers money for more important things such as surviving? This goes for all other less priority expenses such as space exploration, foreign aid, government perks, etc. Seems like the politicians are having a wild party this January while thousands are getting laid of their jobs.How much do you think will it cost overall for the pomp and circumstance surrounding the inauguration...?

They have the right to have their pomp and circumstance. The Bushes didn't spare any expense for GW's inaugurations, did they? I guarantee that the Obama adminstration will spend less than they did.

The cost is going to be jacked up to the sky.

I know for a school band to ';TRY OUT'; to be in the inauguration, it costs $45,000. One school is trying to raise money to be in it, may need to get state funds to cover it. They said they need this because their self esteem is running low. No joke.

Going to be real sad if they don't make it.
