Whats the deal with the anti torture pledges?

Do people want police to sweet talk terrorists and other prisoner to get information out of them? I am sorry it isn't going to happen. Theres no other way to get information out of unwilling people, and don't tell me crap about truth drugs. They almost never work, people are more or less high off there minds and end up telling authorities truth and fiction at the same time and mixing up there stories. How else do people think they can get info out of people?Whats the deal with the anti torture pledges?
Pledges by politicians are like paper for the butt.



Besides that, the USA does not torture already and is in the forefront of convincing others not to torture. I'm really tired of people calling discomfort torture in a crude effort to make one's own actions seem somewhat better.Whats the deal with the anti torture pledges?

The problem with allowing torture of terrorist...



Is that there is no defination of terrorist.



Any AMERICAN who may oppose the rulling powers, can be deemed as a TERRORIST... AMERICANS, who have fought to preserve our constitutional rights, could be TERRORISTS, who would then be able to be subjected to that torture.



There are tons of stories, and clips of americans being detained, questioned, searched.. without warrent, without legal representation...
