Offical unemployment rate is 5%, how many of these ';out of work people'; are basically UNEMPLOYABLE?

Officially our unemployment rate in America is about 5%. Though so many people in American business tell us there is a labor shortage. I wonder how many people in America who are unemployed are actually not able to get or keep a job because of mental, or physical issues.

I use to work with some welfare to work types and many of them only lasted a few days because they did not have the mental or physical or attitude skills to stay gainfully employed.

Or maybe I am wrong and there are tons of talented and smart people out there who are unemployed who could be valuable members of our workforce.

What is your impression of the majority of the unemployed in America?Offical unemployment rate is 5%, how many of these ';out of work people'; are basically UNEMPLOYABLE?
There is a labor shortage and there will continue to be one as long as they refuse to pay a decent wage! They want the work to be performed but they don't want to pay the fair return for the workers efforts! They want to eat their cake and have it it at the same time, typical republicans! Many are unemployed because they will not work for sub standard wages. Wages are at least ten years behind and with spiraling prices the gap is only going to get wider each day!Offical unemployment rate is 5%, how many of these ';out of work people'; are basically UNEMPLOYABLE?
If Obama is elected, I will quit my job. I want free stuff. I will claim insanity and say i voted for Obama.
I'd guess 3% are unemployable and 2% flatly refuse to work.
I am not sure that those with disabilities are counted in those figures, however, I would venture to guess that many of those unemployed are now unemployable as the jobs they were trained for have left for foreign soil. It isn't that easy to start over when you've had a job for 20+ years.
Well first you have to believe that the unemployment rate is only 5%, which, many of us don't.
