Do straight perms work?

I have super frizzy, curly hair and it's really hard to do my hair. I just want it simple and straight :) and i hate straightening it because i take like 2 hours. So it's a real pain. SO, do they really work? (People with experience to answer is a plus!) And ABOUT how much would it be? how long does it last? I live in the bay area, CA!Do straight perms work?
Do not do it! Oh my God, so many girls make that mistake. The same chemicals in Drain-O make up that stuff. Most girls have hair fall out after they have that done. Embrace your curls, ask your stylist what products you can use to keep frizz down.Do straight perms work?
perms last about a month depending on the strength you get and how you take care of it. I get one EVERY month. if i don't i'll look like ';WHY?'; they're $5-10 If you have soft or thin hair, you should use the lowest strength or just not get one at all.
