Aerobic Class Scheduling - What's the Deal? Some People Work!?

Ok, I'm on my 2nd fitness club this year. My last one had weird hours (I thought) for aerobics classes. One cycle class at 5:45am (yeah, right) then the next cardio class starts at 8:30am. The latest evening classes begin at 5:45pm.

We just moved and I started a new club and they have a similar schedule. So how do working people get to do cardio classes? They have all kinds of classes scheduled between 8:30 and 5pm, but hardly anything outside of that. I can *sometimes* make the 5:45pm if traffic is light and the class is PACKED. I can't imagine there not being enough interest to have an additional class at 6 or 6:30pm. I would even take a nice 7am class before work.

So what's the deal with the clubs? Why don't they schedule more convenient classes for those of us who actually work from 8am-5pm? It's been the same in two cities in two different chains of clubs. Ugh.Aerobic Class Scheduling - What's the Deal? Some People Work!?
Simple solution: Work from home. Then you can make time for your aerobics class whenever you want! ;)

I know it isn't necessarily that easy, especially depending on your line of work, but I do know a number of professionals who do or have negotiated either the ability to telecommute with an employer, or who provide independent contractor services through other institutions. I am currently in the process of interviewing for several professional jobs that are totally online. Working from home does not have to mean owning your own business (I've done that, too); there are many legitimate opportunities available and many pay well.

OK. I'm sure that's not the solution you were looking for, but I should earn creativity points! BTW, I was oh so tempted to vote for your supercalifragilistic... answer as the best, (definite creativity points) but one must concede that the winning response was well-deserved.Aerobic Class Scheduling - What's the Deal? It's the same where I live. I believe clubs do this on purpose - they don't want the classes too full, but they want to be able to advertise the classes when they're trying to get you to sign up for a membership.

People who make the 5:45 class usually take a short lunch or no lunch those days so they can leave work early.
When you are able to make it to a class, they may allow you to record it.

Or maybe a friend can record it for you if you can never seem to make it to one.

Then you can do the exercises at home while listening to the instructor answer other's questions.
