Do the people you work with dress terrible?

Do you work with people that do not know how to dress? Do they wear things that are totally inappropriate and nobody says anything to them? Could the show what not to wear create years worth of shows from just the people you work with?

I work at a prison and there are women that come to work with pants so tight that you can see their thong.

I also work with people that haven't bought new clothes since the first Bush administration. They also haven't change their hairstyle since the Reagan administration.

Why do people not care about their appearance? Since when has it become acceptable to not be professional?Do the people you work with dress terrible?
People can wear whatever they want to wear as long as it fits the dresscode of that particular place of employment. Same with hair, who gets to tell whom when to change their hair?.

BUT- I would think that its a stupid move to wear clothing so tight and having your underwear visible when working at a prison...wtf are they thinking?!

If you work in a professional environment, its never acceptable not to be dressed professionally. But if your job is casual..then you should be able to dress casual.

I personally like to look nice and dress appropriately for my job as Im a mother, wife, and the first person you see when you walk into the business..although...as a mother, wife, student and full time employee I have my days, where I just wear a simple tee and jeans and Im so glad that my boss doesnt mind.

Im the only female that works in the office and all the guys wear their work shirts and jeans..its a construction co.Do the people you work with dress terrible?
Only half of them. Our office consists of two company's. One is a State agency and they are sort of like our customer. The majority of the State workers come to work looking like they are going on a safari. You know, tennis shoes, khaki shorts, funky colored shirts.

Then they always ask why I'm so dressed up...I want to say, gee guys, I don't remember when wearing nice slacks and a button up shirt to work was considered too dressy.

Yes, it is ridiculous that professional appearance has taken the back burner...but then again, so has good work ethic in general it seems these days.
