People complain about being a parent and how devistatingly difficult it is; while they are pregnant with a fifth child at the same time. I don't understand why some people treat parenthood like it is some sort of ailment that they have no control over. I think everyone knows how to prevent a pregnancy so stop whining and taking money from working people already! Why do people feel that if they choose to have a herd of children they are due an increased amount of money?
I've said it before, and I'll say it again - if I don't participate in the conception of the child, I damned well don't want to participate in paying for it.Why do people feel that if they choose to have a herd of children they are due an increased amount of money?
The only education they ever got was self taught
SEX education, learn as you earn..
i agree that ppl shouldn't think that they're entitled to money just because they have so many kids...but at the same time, we need kids to pay social security :-D
It is called the ';womb to the tomb'; mentality. Keep voting for liberals and they will keep the welfare gravy train on schedule.
Well not everyone that has a herd of children take welfare, my wife and I have 5 children and it was a financial strain, so I worked days and my wife worked evenings to make ends meet.
We did not have everything we wanted but did have everything that we needed.
In 35 years of marriage, I collected unemployment insurance for one week. Today my oldest is 33 and my youngest is 22.
I suppose that in my case I did not feel that it was anyone else's responsibility to feed, clothe or otherwise raise my kids and am probably more pissed off at people that do feel this way.
there was a post on ya yesterday that got deleted but the women asked if we thought it would be ok for her to have another baby.. she needed more money.. and then she said that the govt should reimburse her for the clothes she had to buy her kids for school and for the gas she uses to drive her kids to school. My first thought was NO.. but i am sure they would be glad to pay for you to be sterilized.. Not sure if she was joking or not and apparently it pissed off a lot of people cause she got reported but I didn't think it was funny..the thing is that's what a lot of them think.. I had one child who the govt helped me support but I stopped with one.. accidents happen.things happen.. but come on now, after 2 or 3 kids, enough is enough.. Those kids they are having will end up in foster care on our tax payer dollars or they will be our future welfare recipients.. China may have the right idea.. after 1 kid..sterilize.. Though the US will never do that.. something should be done about it.. Give them money for using birth control (implants, something they can't forget to take).. when they birth control stops so do the incentives... Not a good solution either but still cheaper than 18 years of welfare, free education, free healthcare, free school lunches, free housing, etc..but you are right. They whine about how hard it is and then they have another one... makes no sense.. Most people know that welfare does not give you enough to even cover what the yearly cost of that child would be so why they keep having them is beyond me
Honestly, most people that are doing the talking have little or no education, and even less sex education.
Fortunately in the USA, the funds that they get does not increase after two children.
I think if they just did away with public assistance there would be more motivation to not get pregnant. In countries where welfare is very good (like the USA, and UK), there are a lot of unplanned pregnancies. In countries, like China, were there is little assistance, the percentage of unplanned pregnancy is much lower.
Honestly, if a woman knows beyond a doubt that she will be giving birth in a dirt alley someplace, she is going to insist that her man uses a condom.
