I think it really depends on where in the country you live. Here in suburban Washington D.C. this type of service is provided at an hourly rate between $15-$20 per hour. Some providers charge by the size and number of rooms cleaned. The work you are wanting to have done (except the ironing) will probably be cost you $50 per day if you live in a major metropolitan area, less if you don't. If you choose a franchise cleaner (think Merry Maids) you should be able to find a weekly discount deal. Here is a quote from the Merry Maids website (www.MerryMaids.com):
';The price to clean your home is based on many factors. The size of your home and the frequency for cleaning are some of those factors. But people live with different numbers of pets, different levels of clutter, different surfaces. Pets bring in dirt that we clean. We clean clutter and around it. We clean special surfaces differently.
For a price that meets your needs and your budget, we put you in touch with your local office. A Merry Maids employee from that office will contact you to get a better understanding of your home, its cleaning requirements and your cleaning needs. They can then give you a price to clean your home that will fit your budget.';
If you really need to have ironing done, you are going to have to negotiate, ';cleaners'; don't usually do ironing. That task is usually done by a live in domestic worker.People work too hard?
Depends on the cleaning company you employ. They probably would come over and give you an estimate. Most maids don't do laundry or windows, however.
I would definitely recommend going with a company that has been around a while, does background checks on their employees, etc. You don't want some weirdo in your home and around sensitive personal items who's psycho.
I guess what you have to decide is how much money your two or three hours of work you do on your house a week would cost you if you were getting paid to do it.
My mom was a cleaning lady and did general cleaning. She got paid by the hour and then extra for any added duties (i.e. washing windows, light fixtures, moving furniture, etc.)
I think the going rate is about $15/hour or more.
You also need to have your place picked up before they come or they won't do the work. If you want the bed made then you need to have all the junk off it. If you want the floor vacuumed then you need to have all the toys and such picked up. You get my drift.
Never pay hourly for cleaning...
The $ depends where you live and the size of the house...
call a few companies and get estimates.
You didn't mention from which part of the world you are.So it's difficult to think of a price.But its better to fix the amount per day or per month.These days in the middle east countries offer a great amont of salary for a hoseworker.You have to concider that also.If you can get someone from a asian country it will be cheaper.
usually cleaning is done on a flat rate basis. i don't know to many cleaners that do ironing but i guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. as far as price it depends on a lot of factors one being where you live.
I think plenty of people would consider 10-15 pound for the job if it took around 2-3 hours once a week.
But I would try and get someone you know!!
My dad used to run a off-license years ago, he employed this ';lovely old gentlemen|'; to stack the empty bottles and crates... Yep you guessed it he was a thieving little ****!!! Had his fingers in the till, and was putting a bottle of whiskey at the back of our yard for him to collect later !!
