Is it true that the tone with which you pronounce a word can give it a completely different meaning?

A. Like everyone else, they work six or six 1/2 days.

C. Is it true that the tone with which you pronounce a word can give it a completely different meaning?
Yes.
D. Is it true that Chinese speakers are less likely to tell you a lie? (in English, lies depend much on giving emphasis to the untrue part)
No. A Chinese is as likely to lie as anyone. How many days in a week do Chinese people work? Do they break for weekends?
Hi. Tones are generally less obvious in music. Hence it is easier for a foreigner to learn a Chinese song than to speak. They probably can't tell you're non-Chinese if you sing. But they can tell if you speak - if you don't get the tones right you sound very foreign or gibberish.

Chinese people always work. Work is their life. Breaks exist of taking your parents and family/date out and this may be quite often very late at night after businesses and restaurants close/ on shifts.
Of course we're mentioning the immigrants and their descendants here.
Yes, there is a centuries-long tradition of Chinese poetry.
Yes, the intonation of a syllable defines the word's meaning, also take context into consideration because even if you've got the right intonation you might not have the right word.
I don't know about that lie-part. Anyone can lie.
they work all the time they're asian open 24/365
In China I guess no. Poetry maybe calligraphy. Yes it's true when you say a word with differents tones it can give a completely a different meaning Example the number death and four. And yes Chinese people tend to lie less than English because if they lie they get punished.
P.s. Shortgirl you should have describe what Chinese dialect you are talkint about. If you have known Cantonese there are actually six tones. Mandarin is four tones.
A.H. rules! ^_^
Of course they do break for weekends. What makes you think they don't? Yes, its true that the tone with which a word is pronounced can give rise to a different meaning. There are four tones to a word. I'm not sure about the last part of your question but I highly doubt it.
